Welcome to Weymouth Carnival 2010, it gives me great pleasure and a privilege to be the first Rotary Carnival Chairman. My committee and I have worked hard this year to secure once again the internationally famous Red Arrows who will again be displaying their expertise above the sky’s of Weymouth on Wednesday 18th August 2010. (Weather permitting)
You will have no doubt read in the local and international press that this year we are inviting vehicles to join the procession as well as walking entries. The buzz around the town at the moment is unbelievable and the enthusiasm not seen for years, therefore if you are thinking of taking part or supporting in other ways this year’s carnival now is the time to commit. Skanksa who are building the new road have shown their commitment by giving this year’s carnival a huge financial boost of £10,000.00 for this year’s headline sponsor, which we are extremely grateful.
The committee members are made up from the experience of previous Carnival Chairman, Round Tablers and Rotarians as well as local business people who care passionately about the carnival. These ladies and Gentlemen want to deliver to the Weymouth public and Holiday Makers a truly fantastic, fun filled family event for everyone to enjoy. Please also remember that the importance of the day in terms of its success and how much money we raise which goes back to the local community and needy worthy causes.
You will see each member of the committee and their details herein, so should you require any additional information regarding Trade stands, Procession, Draw, Aerial Displays or general enquiries, then please click on their names and you can contact them directly. Furthermore should you require download entry form for procession or to book a trade stand this is also available on the web page.
Please keep supporting this fantastic event,
Rotarian Robert Sedgbeer
