WEDNESDAY 20TH AUGUST 2008

This year sees the first of a new look carnival. Following the announcement by Weymouth Round Table that they would no longer be organising this event, a variety of businesses and community groups got together and formed a Carnival Committee, who vowed to save the event. The main change to our new carnival is that this years parade will be "green". See our parade page for more information. As in previous years we have some fantastic events planned starting on Monday 18th right through to the big day itself on the 20th. Details can be found on our events pages.

Weymouth Community Carnival Committee are pleased to welcome Noo Mobile on board as the main sponsors of this years event. Without their sponsorship many of the well known activities and events may well have been missing this year. The new Committee started with no monies in the bank and the success of the Carnival relies heavily on sponsorship. We hope you will visit their site on Carnival Day and thank them, like us, for the valuable support.
