The Grand Prize Draw
With just five weeks left until the big day on Wed 18 August the Rotary Clubs of Weymouth Carnival Committee have just launched this years Carnival Draw.
Keeping with long standing tradition once more the star prize will be a fabulous Masda2 TS worth £9820 supplied by Wey Valley Mazda with second and third prizes kindly donated by Haven Littlesea and Howleys Toymaster.
Alex Goracy, Carnival Draw Organiser said: “ We are absolutely delighted to have been able to secure such a prestigious first prize for this years draw. The draw will once again take place at 10pm on the Esplanade after the Grand Carnival Fireworks Display and one lucky person will be driving around shortly after in this magnificent car. The draw as always plays a major part in raising funds for local good causes and with the help of locals and visitors we hope to sell a record number of tickets this year to swell the carnival fund”
This years Grand Prize Draw tickets can be bought at a variety of places. The Rotary Clubs of Weymouth will be selling Draw Tickets on the Esplanade at different times in early August and during the days running up to Carnival Day 18th August.
Tickets will also be available at Haven Littlesea and Wey Valley Mazda on the Dorchester Road.
The Mayor of Weymouth Paul Kimber buys the first 2010 Draw ticket from Carnival Chairman Rob Sedgbeer watched by Carnival Queen Finalists Michaela Frampton, Natalie Round
and Sally Anne Walker
